Inclusion Lead Role

Mrs Carolyn Wray (our Inclusion Lead) works closely with children and their families, providing support and guidance where there are difficulties in learning due to social, emotional or behaviour problems.

This can be on a 1-1 basis or as part of a larger group and involves work around friendships, confidence and self-esteem, emotional literacy and behaviour.

As members of the Brigshaw Cluster we have access to a range of external support such as counselling for children and family support.

This type of intervention is vital in ensuring our children are able to achieve their full potential.

 

PSHE Curriculum

At Great Preston C of E Primary School we aim to develop healthy, independent and responsible members of society. Through our PSHE curriculum, we teach children the skills, knowledge and attributes they need to keep themselves happy, healthy and safe and to prepare them for life in our diverse society. Our curriculum allows children to develop these skills through 3 core areas: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world. These areas are taught through topics in our weekly lessons from Years 1 – 6 and are outlined in the document below:
