It has been a very busy week in Year 3. On Thursday, we were visited by a Roman soldier who taught us about what life was like in the Roman times. We learnt about a soldiers equipment, their invasions, and took part in some marching drills. Then on Friday, we continued our science work around forces and magnets, experimenting with magnets and how they act at a distance.
Take Over Day
The children had a fantastic day taking over the jobs of different members of staff. The new teachers in Year 3 created some brilliant lessons and the children worked very hard, we even had a visit from our new head teachers during their learning walk!
Black History Month
As part of children's learning logs they had to find out about an important person from Black History. The children produced some brilliant work about a number of different famous figures.
A big welcome back to all children and we hope you had an enjoyable summer holidays. The children have all settled back in extremely well and are working hard in Year 3.
