Great Preston VC C of E Primary School

'I can do all things through him who strengthens me.’
Philippians 4.13

Great Preston Primary School is closely affiliated with the Brigshaw Learning Partnership (BLP) which is a local multi-academy trust consisting of Brigshaw High School and six neighbouring primary schools (Kippax Ash Tree, Swillington, Allerton Bywater, Kippax North, Kippax Greenfield and Methley Primary School).

Our staff attend regular hub meetings with staff from across the learning partnership and training opportunities are also accessed. Our headteacher works alongside other heads from the six primary schools and Brigshaw High School.

Pupils at Great Preston not only benefit from the continuing development of staff, but also by accessing the wealth of opportunities for working alongside children from other schools, both primary and secondary. Students from Brigshaw High School often visit school to lead initiatives and make links ahead of our Year 6 pupils making their transition to high school.

We also regularly compete in inter-school competitions in a variety of sporting events including swimming, athletics, tag rugby and many more.

Great Preston C of E Primary School is an outward-facing community and we consider ourselves privileged to be able to access support and challenge from such a successful local multi-academy trust.
